Default vga monitor, xbox 360, and sound HELP!

Ok, here's my situation. I have an xbox 360 (elite) and a computer monitor that no one uses and I want to put it in use.

The computer monitor has a vga cord coming out the back like this:

It's not like your regular monitors these days with just a place where you can just plug a vga cord into. This monitor I have is fairly old but still works. This monitor also has SPEAKERS.

Along with that vga cord there are audio and mic cords sticking out like this:

On the side of this monitor there is a hole where you can plug in a headset.

Now, what would I need to buy in order for this to work. I already know That I'll need these:

But trying to put everything together is so confusing.

Can someone help me out here! PLEASE!

Some thoughts:

1. What would I need to put the two vga cords together?
2. How am I going to get sound!

Alright, that package you buy comes with a vga converter thing, so you plug the vga from your computer in one side of it and you plug in the vga from the xbox cord thing into the other.

As for sound, it also comes with a Y adapter. So you plug those red/white cables into it and put the other end in your line-in input on the back of your computer.

I found a pic of the stuff, so it'll probably be easier to understand

That package you're talking about is the xbox 360 vga cables? Btw, I don't have a computer with the monitor. I just have the monitor alone. And the monitor doesn't have a input for audio. It just has a hole for a headset.

Edit: All I have from my monitor is this sticking out with the vga cord:

It's got to have a hole for input, look for a little black/green hole somewhere on the monitor. If it doesn't your monitor is shit.

So now I need to figure out a way to connect to get sound.

I guess you should just take a pic of the inputs on your monitor so we can see if they'll work

I know what you mean,

You should type cleaner.

What he is saying is, that from the back of his monitor there are two cables. A green and red sound cable.

The red one is for microphones, you dont need it at all.

You will only need the green one, and that would go into the adapter.

But where would he plug in that green cable? The adapter is for the two cables that come with the vga thing. And you're supposed to plug that into something that would take in a green cable.
