I've already talked to King, and I may have a solution. My father is a general manager at a car dealership we have around here. He's knows the owner VERY well. He gets treated like a son. I can have a hold of Mr. Barnard(owner) in 5 minutes. If I can pull the correct strings over the course of a week or so, I may have a server we can use. If it works, we can have cake.

1. That is not what Arsonism has been saying at ALL, Arsonism was saying that he may be able to get a server from his school and run us off that. He was not telling me to buy a server, because guess how QsK is up now?? Yea, it's because I am buying a server. And if you viewed mine and arsonism's aim conversations, no I wasn't "pissy". He made the hostile post in the thread, we have since discussed and he has admitted it was his fault and has apologized.

2. That isn't a simple solution. And do you honestly think I WOULDN'T HAVE thought of that?? cmon now. If I ran my own hardware server I thought I would not have the knowledge to do it, and I said that in the FIRST post. I wouldn't of had to buy a server because I already HAVE one in my brother's computer. You told me a solution that no one else in this thread has been saying, and arsonism was not saying that either, because it is in. the. first. post.

1. I wasnt talking about you and arsonism, i was talking about how he and others have said to get a server. And i never said you were "pissy" towards him, i said you got all pissy when i said to buy a server.

2. How is that not a simple solution? And you said your brother is going to let you buy it, meaning you dont have it, which is buying a server.

I'm glad your opting to host, but it will rape your current connection, and as someone said before you must phone/check with your ISP that they can handle all this data coming through. They might shut your account because it says so in the T&C.. it's never happened to people I know but I know some household branded ISP's have strict rules against running servers on thier host.

O yeah, and if you are, that means you get unlimited e-mail accounts! Everyone can get an @qskglobal.com e-mail, haha!

King, I think you can do it. Your determination is a good thing, and with that you'll be running your server in no time. Theres enough people on the site to help you with it, and you probably don't even need that much help. I say your golden. Those things I was saying the other day was just giving you a dose of reality, just so you know what could go wrong, but now you know, you know how to over come them.

It's probably because they take up a lot of bandwith and in a place like L.V. where it's very densely populated, they don't have the ability to handle people using servers. Then again I don't know too much about this, but that sucks. Maybe you should give them a call and explain your situation or see if they'll host the site.
