I had that thought out for a post in this thread, but it didn't sound right so I hit the big ol back button. But that's exactly what I think it is. I know there's a bunch of people out there who can think and process on my level, just haven't met many of them yet.

Scewed system. Do what is best for you to advance your ability, not test it.

I scored in the 99th percentile overall and got into this John Hopkins University talented youth thing.

I have met a few from traveling to different school club related things. Then you realize that they may be superior in the smarts department, but they sure are fucking social retards.

He's not making anything up. He's simply explaining how he feels. I don't see any excuses for the way he acts, more of an explanation and advice for seeking help.

@ Everyone who thinks they have superiority complexes or whatever, fucking grow up. Mozer get over yourself. So what you have book smarts, it's not a god given talent anyone who actually puts in the time to study and do all their homework can get good grades.
If you really think your that special or that you have superiority complex bullshit you should probably kill yourself.
If you feel that you need to be the best at everything, thats not superiority complex, that's insecure. It's sad people need to try to be the best at everything.

What's the point of doing something if you aren't trying to be the best at it? I think it's mainly a trait in us men to thrive on competition and strive to be the best at all we attempt. If no one tried to be the best we'd all be a bunch of mediocre shmucks living in the Dark Ages.
Meaning, if I'm going to put time in effort into something I'm damn well gonna make sure I come out on top or fail trying to come out on top.

Why can't you just be yourself?

That's the thing, I'm highly competitive. That is being myself.

No, I'm very secure. I enjoy the feeling and rush that comes from competition. It not only betters myself, but it betters those I'm competing against. There really isn't a thrill for me that compares to that of competition. Being insecure would be if I had to prove I was the best even if I wasn't. I'm striving to be the best at what I do and if I don't come out as the best at least I know I put all the effort I could into striving for my goal.
