I disagree...it's always been very reliable and catches every threat that tries to access a comp. Had it catch one before I went to school at my home comp actually.

No it's not. It regularly outranks almost every other paid anti-virus program as far as definitions and ability to disinfect goes, along with having almost zero problems with false positives. It does require quite a bit in the way of system resources but a lot of anti-virus programs have that same issue.
