Well I haven't read or actually listened to anyone speak about their views on Palin's speech, so my interpretations are my own.

'I'm going to introduce her to Washington"

fail

Spin it how you want, he has how many people reviewing his speech, and they managed to let that get in there. I foresee him having to explain this.

Meaning he's going to bring her to the Capital and shake things up (after being elected). What are you interpreting?

I'm interpreting what he's saying, he saying that she has never been to Washington, if she had, why would he need to introduce her.

Thank you for spinning it, now I'll take it for what it's worth

I remember this part of the speech and I interpreted it the same then as I do right now.

She's the Governor or Alaska, she obviously doesn't work out of Washington. I don't see how you can't understand what he meant here. You're looking for something where's there's nothing.

I'm not even saying that she hasn't been to Washington. I'm saying that, at a time where her political experience is in question, someone should have caught that because it wouldn't be weird to interpret it that way, considering that he was using the hypothetical situation of them winning the election. This was his nomination acceptance speech, so don't belittle the meaning of this error.

There's no error. You're fishing without a pole. If you're happy with your interpretation, so be it. I'm pretty sure you're on your own with this one.

oh god no, how do you not see the error in that. You only get introduced when you have not met someone before, the fact that he basically said he has not met Washington before is bad. Washington is the place where most politics take place, not in Alaska, in fact, I don't think anything really happens in Alaska.

For the love of god, stop being so narrow minded, read that from another perspective, other than your ultra-conservative, high-horse one. I guarantee you that both the daily show, and the Colbert report make fun of that tomorrow, as well as the news channels picking it apart.

My view on that section of the speech has nothing to do with my party relation. It's only how I viewed the event. You, on the other hand seem to have some kind of agenda with this. I've tried explaining what I thought was meant, but that seems to passed over you completely.

"I’m very proud to have introduced our next Vice President to the country. But I can’t wait until I introduce her to Washington."

http://www.kansascity.com/445/story/782524-p2.html

How can you take that to mean she's never been to Washington or she's never had experience dealing with issues?

It means, and the only thing it means, is that he wants to win the election and take her to the Capitol as the vice president.

I'm voting Bob Dole anyway.
