I don't work here are college, but I work at Kumon at home, it's an independent learning center with a different technique from a lot of tutoring places. Love my boss and my co-workers.

Well just to maybe stay on topic, I work at a gas station. I also had to work today, on labor day, and I believe I got paid the same as I would any other day. Eff that.

Why would you be paid more? The work didn't change. American kids need to stop expecting shit and go out and get it.

it may have. there would be more customers at a gas station on a day where all schools, businesses, state offices and whatnot are closed. more work, more customers, more money for the business to pay time and a half

That is truely the dumbest shit I have ever heard. If you are expected to work on a national holiday then you deserve a higher wage. Think about thanksgiving and christmas. While most people are sitting at work all day, goverment workers are off most of the week. That is bullshit. So to compensate a higher wage is the the right thing to do.I personally get double time and a half, but, I must work the day before and the day after the holiday. I was sick as shit last night but still came to work.

Im an electrician, I use to work at Home Depot, I am a Fire Fighter, and I make most of my income from my own online business. That is all of my jobs I have ever had, I hope it satisfies you.
