Default How successful ...

... would a 360 RRoD "repair shop" be? I've already fixed two of them successfully, my own and a friends'. I figure once I get the hang of it I could work at a pretty quick pace; faster than Microsoft by far. How much should I charge? How much would people be willing to pay? I'd basically be bringing in customers on the basis of speed of service ... a week and a half as opposed to 6-8 weeks. It's not like I could lose money ... I'd only make money based on how many customers I got.

Think people would go for it? Of course I'd need a ton of advertising ...

I dunno how successful you'd be. You're pretty limited hardware wise, and if someone needed a new part, you wouldn't be able to provide it.

I'd help you too, if you wanted a partner. I know several people who have RRoD xboxes.

Also, new parts are very easy to come by.

I think shipping and overall trust would be your two biggest factors to overcome.

about 15 for them to send it to you and 15 to send it back to them + whatever you charge to fix it.

Then to get people to trust you enough to just send you their xbox

Well shit, of course I'm not going to be able to replace a tri-core processor. I'm saying I'd be able to fix the GPU issue, which is the issue in about 90% of 360s.

The processors are normally not the problem... Just the heating, which is the only thing causing the RRoD anyways.

then i'd think you could pull off a decent business, as long as folks trusted you enough to send em over like Wes said

Yea I'd need a few people who already trust me or just some unwary early customers to build my name at first. Get it to the point where people are like "RRoD? Send it to MozeR, he'll fix it."

I would trust you. I should get RRoD just so you can fix it.
