If it was still in warranty, wouldn't people just be sending it in to MS to fix for free?

Yes, but he could do it in a faster amount of time, it just depends whether you want it done ASAP or 4-8 Weeks.

I have gotten the RRoD twice already and each time I sent it to Microsoft, the whole process took exactly two weeks. Plus it comes with a one month each time. Hopefully you can start a business or something.

It takes microsoft so long cause they get probably hundreds per day. If you became successful enough, you would be taking on a huge workload. Make sure you can handle all that keeping track of each person's xbox and what not. You should just try and keep it small and between people you trust.
