Yeah, I'm sick of red bar when ever i'm on at the same time that my sister is on. What i'm asking is how to change the router settings so i get 90% of the connection and she only gets 10%... All shes using it is for looking at the internet not like shes useing as much bandwith as i am using... Anybody help?.. i know it can be done... just not how..

Depends what kind of router you have. On my router, settings like that are located under Applications and Gaming -> QoS (Quality of Service). You can from there set the priority levels for certain applications and IPs.

ok, fix her up so that she has a static IP, then add her IP to the "access and restrictions," so that she can only be online like an hour a day.

You type 192.168.1.101 in your address bar. Then you type in a user name, should be admin. Then a password, should be default unless you changed it. Once you login, you go to the Apps and Gaming Tab like Mozer said. Then QoS tab.

I'm not quite sure how you partition networks but I could probably figure it out... just with that my dad would let me get to our router settings but he doesn't.

I might look into it in a bit here.
I know Midget knows this crap like the back of his hand but myself... not so certain.


I'll see what I can dig up give me a bit though.
