So when I download texts I drag them from WinRar to my font folder. They don't show up in the folder or on Photoshop. Help?

all i did was opened PS(your welcome btw) and i just dragged them off the destop on to ps lol

Uncompress the winrar archive??? and then just Ctrl+C and ctrl+V in C:/windows/fonts

or without closing the winrar window copy and paste the font file on the fonts folder..

it should appear a dialong saying "installing font" or some shit like that and then just open Ps and u r ready to go

if that dont work...

We recommend installing only one format — OpenType, TrueType, or PostScript — of a font. Installing two or more formats of the same font may cause problems when you try to use, view, or print the font.

1. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel

Note: In Windows XP, choose Start > Control Panel

2. Double-click the Fonts folder. (if you dont see it, then click "Change to Classic View" button and you should see it now)

3. Choose File > Install New Font.

4. Locate the fonts you want to install.

* In the Drives list, select the drive and the folder containing the fonts you want to install.

* In the Folders list, select a folder that contains the fonts you want to install. (Make sure you have unzipped them first.) The fonts in the folder appear under List of Fonts.

5. Select the fonts to install. To select more than one font, hold down the CTRL key and click each font.

6. To copy the fonts to the Fonts folder, make sure the Copy fonts to the Fonts folder check box is selected.

Note: If installing fonts from a floppy disk or a CD-ROM, you should make sure this check box is selected. Otherwise, to use the fonts in your applications, you must always keep the disk in the disk drive.

7. Click OK to install the fonts.

Yeah, just put em in your font folder. Sometimes they don't show up in your Ps if it's open when you drag em into the font folder though.

is PS running when you try and add a new font? cause i dont think it works if it is open, but i then again i havnt used photoshop in a few months so i dont really remember

Ok, first extract the font where you downloaded it to. Go to your hard drive, and look for window, press font. And drag the font file into it. Make sure your Photoshop is closed when you do it.
